To help you decide whether working together feels like a good fit, I offer a free 30-minute consultation. This is a casual meet-and-greet—an opportunity for you to ask me anything you’d like and get a sense of who I am and how I work. This meeting is not a therapy session, but rather a chance to explore whether starting treatment with me feels right for you.
To schedule this free consultation, simply email me to request an intake form. Once you’ve filled it out and sent it back, we’ll schedule the consultation.
If, after our meeting, you decide you’d like to move forward—and if I believe I can be helpful—the next step is to schedule an initial session.
The First Session
- In my experience, people can often stay on their “best behavior” for the first hour of therapy. A longer session allows us to move past the surface and begin doing meaningful work right away.
- By condensing what might otherwise take several weeks into a single, extended session, we increase the likelihood of making early progress.
- Just as importantly, this longer session gives us both a chance to determine whether we’re a good match for the kind of work I offer. I strive to do work that is effective and targeted. By the end of this first meeting, we’ll both have a clearer sense of whether continued work together makes sense.
I’m not the right therapist for everyone—and I believe that will be clear by the end of this extended session. This is not the kind of therapy where, six months in, you’re still wondering, “I think this is helping a little, but I’m not sure.
Ongoing Work
Ongoing sessions are 50 minutes in length, unless we agree otherwise. My fee is $285 USD per 50-minute session.
